On a clear day this could be one of the finest views in Scotland. To the left we have the hills of Loch Mullardoch and to the right of Loch Monar we see the hills of Achnashellach. show route map |

Leaving
Monar Lodge and following the road round to the Dam, where I had parked
up some 9 hours earlier. The big hill on the skyline is Sgurr na Lapaich. show route map |

Glen Strathfarrar is a very beautiful well kept glen
and worthy of a visit in its own right. The river Farrar has many deep
pools and small Lochans and provides loads of oppurtunities for swimming.
I found an ideal spot just downstream from the ford at 226387, the water
was notably warmer than on Mull a week earlier. (I may of lasted 5 minutes!)
