Mount Keen ... Jan 06
Mount Keen

A very cold day, -12°C when I set off at first light and -10°C when i returned at the end of the day, but with no wind and clear skies it was perfect walking weather.

A 360° Panorama from Mount Keen. The smoke in the south and east is from muir burning, this is done to help the grouse moor, unfortunately that is all it helps, the regular burning ends any chance of natural rejuvenation.
This could be a wild and diverse landscape, home to thousands of species of plant and animals, instead we have a near monoculture of grouse and heather, all so that a handful of wealthy individuals can play with guns..
