Rather
worryingly cloud starts to lower onto Beinn
a Chlaidheimh, not what the forecast had promised!
This small beach on Loch an Nid provided an ideal place to rest and wait for the cloud to lift. show route map |

A
wee Ptarmigan chick, so well camouflaged I walked through the entire brood
nearly standing on them, if it had not been for the mother doing the broken
wing routine I would have never spotted the young! show route map |

Wild
camping near the top of Sgurr Ban with a magnificent view north to An
Teallach. This picture was taken just after sunset, and it didn't really get much darker than this, over the next few hours the pink glow on the left moved slowly rightwards until the sun reappeared to the right of An Teallach. show route map |

Looking back to Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair from the top of Sgur Dubh, this is a narrow pinnacled ridge that is as narrow and exposed as anything else on the mainland show route map |

Looking
back up to Mullach
Coire Mhic Fhearchair. This large section of slabs is a
spectacular feature and is
worth a visit, could be interesting during periods of torrential rain, the run off is likely to be immense! show route map |
