East Drumochter ... May 2005
A' Bhuidheanach Bheag - Carn na Caim

Rather than take the usual route up from the Druochter Pass, I approached these hills from the other direction, up the long track that leads to Sronphadruig Lodge. This route gives a good day out, and gives the hills a feel of remoteness that would otherwise be lost if approaching from the busy A9

The hill on the right is in fact the high ground that leads up to Carn na Caim. The Corbett An Dun can be seen directly above the dogs head.

Finally onto the high ground, with the top Glas Mheall Mor centermost. The wee dog is Bramble.

Looking from Glas Mheall Mor towards the summit A' Bhuidheanach Bheag, this is spectacular open moorland the photograph does not convey the remote granduer of this place. The snow covered hills in the distance is Creag Meagaidh & Stob Coire Poite Ardour you can just make out the window on the image!
